Why are natural, organic natural oils so important to beard health?

Simple. Silicones and fillers "coat" your beard...making it appear shiny and smooth, but end up drying your beard and skin out more, making it necessary to use more product more often. Natural oils on the other hand have been used for hundreds of years and have so many uses. We chose our blend by combining oils with anti-inflammatory, astringent like properties and recinoleic acid to fight bacteria and ward off ingrown hairs. Our oil blend also contains omega 9 fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E to soothe skin problems like psoriasis and eczema.

So why do companies always use fillers as their main ingredients?

Great question. Mostly, because it's cheap. Premium quality oils are not. There is nothing pure oils need to remain stable in a closed container. For example, our oils have an expiration of about 18 months from purchase b/c they're made fresh and made often.

What makes a beard oil a "Growth" oil?

The oils used in it. Oils serve so many amazing purposes, most more than one. We will be manufacturing a Growth Serum soon, but in the mean time, continue to use any of our beard oils. Simply put... beard hair sucks the life out of your skin. And once it gets to a certain length- determined by your genetics and health- your skin simply can't keep up the sebum production necessary to moisturize it properly. Oils work deeper than traditional water based moisturizers sold in stores. Healthy skin = a healthy beard.

Only the best thing to happen to your beard! Boar bristle has been used for hundreds of years for hair brushing. Remember the old days when women would "brush their hair x amount of times each night"? It's because in addition to helping blood flow and circulation, the natural fibers help pull your natural hair's sebum (we mentioned that above... in case you don't know, that the oily/waxy stuff your face and body produces to keep your skin healthy). These brushes hold onto that sebum and beard oils and work it all the way to the ends of your hair follicle.
